Using Your HSA/FSA Benefits at Be Bliss Bodywork

We Accept HSA & FSA Cards

At Be Bliss Bodywork, we're proud to accept Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) cards for eligible therapeutic massage services. Your wellness is an investment, and we want to make it easier for you to use your health benefits!

What Are HSA & FSA Cards?

HSA (Health Savings Account) and FSA (Flexible Spending Account) are tax-advantaged accounts that allow you to set aside pre-tax dollars for qualified medical expenses—including therapeutic massage when medically necessary.

Is Your Massage Eligible?

Massage therapy is HSA/FSA eligible when it's medically necessary and used to treat or prevent a specific health condition, such as:

  • Chronic back, neck, or hip pain

  • Injury recovery and rehabilitation

  • Prenatal discomfort and pregnancy-related pain

  • Muscle tension from medical conditions

  • Stress-related health issues prescribed by a physician

  • Post-surgical recovery

  • Arthritis and joint pain management

Relaxation-only massage typically does not qualify, but our customized therapeutic massage services are designed to address specific health concerns.

How to Use Your HSA/FSA at Be Bliss Bodywork

Option 1: Pay Directly with Your Card

Simply present your HSA or FSA debit card at checkout. We'll process it like a regular payment, and you'll receive a detailed receipt with all necessary documentation.

Option 2: Pay Out-of-Pocket & Get Reimbursed

  1. Pay for your service with cash, credit, or debit

  2. Request a detailed receipt (we automatically include all required information)

  3. Submit the receipt to your HSA/FSA administrator for reimbursement

What's Included on Your Receipt?

Every receipt from Be Bliss Bodywork includes:

  • Business name and contact information

  • NPI (National Provider Identifier) number

  • Date of service

  • Detailed description of therapeutic service

  • Amount paid

  • Provider credentials

This documentation ensures smooth processing with your HSA/FSA administrator.

Do You Need a Doctor's Prescription?

It depends on your HSA/FSA plan. Some administrators require a Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN) or prescription from your physician. We recommend:

  1. Check with your HSA/FSA administrator about their specific requirements

  2. If needed, ask your doctor for a prescription or letter stating massage therapy is medically necessary for your condition

  3. Keep this documentation for your records
